Welcome to the Applied Pathophysiology course where we have put together curriculum specifically designed for medical professional working in prehospital, A&E departments and remote clinics.
The course consists of self-guided learning based using the textbook from Marlene Hurst called Pathophysiology Review (ISBN 0071642749). You can purchase a copy if you would like a physical textbook. Here is the Amazon link.
Over the next few weeks, you will use the lectures on PDF, the textbook, flashcards, videos and audio lectures that can help you to learn about pathophysiology as it relates to a healthcare professional. All of the content can be downloaded for offline study.
Once you have a fundamental understanding of pathophysiology you can start your patient assessments with Dr Grech, who will grade them and give you feedback on your knowledge of microbiology as applied to healthcare scenarios.
The final exam can be taken once you have completed all of your study options and have received satisfactory results from your patient assessments. The final exam is 50 questions and is multiple choice. You must receive 80% in order to pass your pathophysiology.

Final Exam: In order to pass this course, you must pass the final exam. You will have one hour to answer 80 multiple choice questions. You must correctly answer 68 questions or more to pass. You can take this final exam as many times as you like. We only look at the highest score. The final exam is open book. You can use as many resources as you like during the exam.
Essay Exam: Once you have passed your final exam, you will be required to take an essay exam and submit that to CoROM tutors.
Patient Assessments: You will be required to submit patient assessments to Dr. Grech for review and feedback.
