The College has created the department and function of Student Success. A departmental lead has been hired by the College to focus efforts and develop processes.
The chart below details the CoROM Student Lifecycle and the role of Student Success:
The College has multiple published contact email addresses, which are all used by students at various times. These include:
These are all managed via a Help Desk system, where all messages are assigned to the relevant member of staff for response and, where required, escalation. The message queue is orchestrated via the Student Success lead. In this way, all student related correspondence is addressed in a timely manner and not overlooked. Standard responses for common topics are available within the Help Desk tool, ensuring that all students are accurately and consistently informed on various topics.
The Student Success function also pro-actively contacts students to conduct interviews, understand their goals with regards to their enrolled CoROM programme and also to support students with any challenges they face in managing their study workload, alongside other commitments. The focus of these interviews have thus far been largely the Masters student cohort, but this has more recently been extended to Bachelors students.
The Student Success lead also participates in the CoROM Board of Regent’s Meeting, providing updates on recent activities and highlighting specific topics of interest arising from contact with the student body.
